Internet connectivity through Windows 7 PC
I connect to the internet from my PC via my cellphone. I want to use this connection to connect my PS3 to the internet. I have a crossover cable, and I am able to share the connection. I tested it using my PC and a laptop and it works fine. I am unable to share the connection with my PS3 however. When connected, the PC reflects an "Unidentified network" and basically blocks the connection. The PS3 has all network settings set to Auto, but cannot obtain an IP address. I have disabled the firewall on my PC. Is there anyone that can help me with this?

Hi, Thanks for the post! I recommend you repair the TCP/IP stack to check if the issue persists. 1. Start – input CMD in search bar – run as administrator. 2. Input the following commands: Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog (Press Enter Key) Reset IPv4 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults: netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log (Press Enter Key) Reset IPv6 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults: nets hint ipv6 reset reset.log (Press Enter Key) Now reboot to see if it works. If it doesn’t work, since the problems only occur on PS3, I suggest you contact Sony support for next troubleshooting.
